But we are very happy to help such producers, by way of performing intermediate
manufacturing steps or in some other way. •
We destone apricots that can be used for many products including jams, drying,
wine making etc. We will
consider producing pulp, juice and producing other intermediate products. Some of
the users of our products turn out some incredibly mouth watering products. Some of them are: Dried
Apricots Dried
apricots are amongst the oldest ways of allowing us consumers to enjoy the
apricot all year around. Whilst we do not produce dried apricots our apricots
do form the basis of some wonderful dried fruits from Dried Ideas. Dry Ideas Dry Ideas
produces 3 simply-to-die-for dried products from apricots. • TasGold, is a sulfur-free preservative-free dried apricots made from
premium Canadian apricot varieties. The clean fulsome flavour will catch your taste buds in an isntant. •
TasRouge an intriguing sulfur-free preservative-free dried apricot
coated with natural sour cherry juice. This provides the initial high tones
characteristic of sour cherries but with a finish that is all apricot. Despite
the newness of the product, it has been featured internationally most notably
at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore. •
And the QewChews which is a thick leather designed to satisfy the hungriest
cowboy. This is no dainty piece of fruit tissue but all real fruit which is
sulfur and preserve free. If this
is not enough, the delectable flavours from Dry Ideas belie the richness in
beta-carotenes and potassium in every bite. Jams
& Conserves Jams &
conserves are very popular ways of allowing us consumers to enjoy a rich flavoursome
apricot spread all year around. Whilst we do not produce any jam or conserves,
our apricots do form the basis of some wonderful stuff from Hill Farm. Hill Farms We have
to say, Mary Walker makes exceedingly good jams and conserves. They are not
too sweet with the fruit flavours buried under a mountain of sugar. Instead
Hill Farm jams allow the fruit to speak to you. Hill Farm apricot jam, which
uses a blend of European and Canadian varieties, is also exceeding smooth
with both good fore-mouth flavour and lower tongue tartness. A very full experience.
Hill Farm jams and conserves are excellent by themselves, as a compliment
or as an ingredient in desserts and sweet nothings. Please see our Receipt
Box for ‘deep fried camembert and apricot conserve’ and for ‘real
apricot jam tarts’. Apricot
Wine Apricot
wine, we hope, will allow consumers to enjoy the apricot in a most
merry way. In the past, we have been experimenting with local wine makers to produce wines that compliment Asian and spicey foods. If you would like to try your own fementing, please contact us for more information, and the great 'cots' to ferment with.
• We flash freeze apricots for further onward processing.
• We can offer apricot stones and can offer apricot kernels.
